Try EByte in Your Browser

This is the real EByte, the same library as the command-line tool, compiled to WebAssembly and running on this page. Pick a schema from the schema library, use its sample file or open one of your own, and press Inspect to see every field with its byte offset. Decode gives you the editable JSON, Encode writes a new file you can download, and Diff compares two files field by field. Your files never leave your browser: there’s no server behind this page.

The demo loads a 5.7 MB WebAssembly file the first time, about 1.5 MB compressed. Open it on its own page for more room.

The build is published with every release as ebyte-wasm.zip, next to the command-line archives on the download page, and the WebAssembly notes explain how to load it in your own page. Calls run on the page’s own thread, so a very large file makes the page wait until it’s done.
